DJ Roland was born in New Orleans and went to De La Salle High School with David Storm, and DJ Kra-Z. They quickly became friends because of their shared love for music and entertainment. DJ Kra-Z was THE goto guy for sound and lights, so DJ Roland shared many performances with DJ Kra-Z running the show.
After High School, DJ Roland moved to Memphis to attend college, and continue persuing music and entertainment. He started a band, and was working towards bringing back rock-n-roll. That's when disaster struck. Katrina blew through New Orleans and left DJ Kra-Z & Get Into The SounD without equipment and music, but not without friends and family. Knowing that this was still a shared passion, DJ Roland, David Storm and DJ Kra-Z pooled all of their resources and bought new equipment and setup Get Into The SounD of Memphis. DJ Roland, and David Storm knew it would be hard to start over in a new place and knew DJ Kra-Z couldn't resist the call for home. So once again, they pooled their resources and restarted Get Into The SounD of New Orleans. DJ Roland is still rocking in Memphis, while DJ Kra-Z is now rocking New Orleans.
